So, I am back with another post about how to advertise on Adwords in a proper way. Loads of people are doing it, loads of people are trying to do it, but not many know how to do it properly. They lack the knowledge about how AdWords work and what they should be doing to advertise with them. And thats the reason most of us fail even before starting our first campaign.
Adwords is all about Quality and relevance. If you get these 2 things together you will have a great campaign going. Quality in the sense, you must have quality content, quality information that you are providing and you should make sure that your visitor is happy after finding your website. Then there is relevancy. Your landing page, keywords and ad text must match and must be relevant. If you go too broad, you will lose it all.
AdWords is structured in this way :- Campaign > AdGroup > Keywords > Landing Page
Make sure you have very tight keywords in every adgroup and each adgroup should contain 4-7 keywords which are tightly matched. And you should have a different landing page for each adgroup which should be relevant to your keywords and Ad Text.
Then there are three types of keyword matches:- Broad, exact phrase and phrase match. You need to make sure you have proper keywords selected which are not too broad but have enough search volume to get you sales/leads etc.
So, in nutshell here is what should be done as you create your AdWords campaign :-
1. Get 4-5 very close keywords and create an adgroup containing those.
2. Create a separate landing page for these keywords.
3. And then write a relevant Ad.
4. Link all these together and let the campaign run.
Rinse and repeat.
Good luck!
